Velingor.:Agil's voice (Scald's vocalist) was the main part of allScald, and music had its beauty only with his vocal. And alsohe was the lider of the group. We decided, thatScald with any other singer is not Scald more. Therefore we changedname and began to play another music.

S.: In you bio is written, that all musicians of Tumulus play parallely in other collectives.In which?

V.:Nowadays:
I, Velingor - Mind Eclipse (black/death) - vocal
Ju Vigdis - Krestovyy Pohod (Crusade) (heavy metal with elements of doom metal) - keyboards
Zus - Metal Empire (doom/gothic) - guitar
Kuchma - Triada (power/thrash) - vocal
Only Kurbat have a pause. He doesn't play anywhere except Tumulus.

S.: Is Tumulus the main project for all members?

V.:For guitarist Zus main is band Metal Empire. Thats total hischild - he writes music, lurics, sings.But Metal Empire is hooby. They don't take part in concerts, don't make recordings.For all other musicians Tumulus - main group.

S.: Is your vocalist relative of our president L.D.Kuchma? :)

V.:Yes (this is not a joke, because Kuchma is his real second name) - but of course very far,so he doesn't support any relation with Ukrainian president.

S.: How is yor new album? When can we hear it?

V.:Recording goes very slowly - we had to change the studio,because to have better conveniences, and also our guitarist Igreny hadleft right after recording his parts. I hope the album will be prepared in summer this year.

S.: Your textes are in three languages: Russian, English, Oldslavonic.Who can write in Oldslavonic?

V.:I write all lyrics. What about oldslavonic textes, I do so:I write them using ethnographic researches(mainly in North of Russia) and Oldlavonic vocabularies,after that one man (he's writting thesis about Oldslavonic language) corrects them.

S.: Have you already placed pagan idol in Yaroslavl?

V.:Our view we express through the music, and spare our belief insid - wedon't show all around us, how cool pagans we are.

S.: Yo'll play this April in Bulgaria for second time.How did Bulgarian metalheads receive you at first time?

V.:It was great last time - Bulgarian metalheads ar more emotional, thanours. I hope it will be perfect this year too.

S.: And how often give Tumulus concerts in Russia?

V.:Different. Our permanent problam - periodical line-up changes.Therefore we play sometimes very frequently, sometimes - ones in six months.
