American heavy metal band FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH released their debut studio album "The Way of the Fist" on July 31st, 2007, through Firm Music, an offshoot of management company The Firm. The record was produced by guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer, mixed by former MACHINE HEAD guitarist Logan Mader, and featured vocalist Ivan Moody alongside guitarists Bathory and Darrell Roberts and bassist Matt Snell. Blending groove metal riffing with hardcore-influenced breakdowns and Moody's aggressive delivery, tracks like "The Bleeding" and "Salvation" never appeared here, but "The Way of the Fist," "Never Enough," and "The American Way" set the template. The album eventually went gold in the US, selling over 500,000 copies, and launched FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH into becoming one of the best-selling metal acts of the following decade.
