MORGUL The Horror Grandeur

I don’t even know what to say – very powerful release. It is the fist album of this band that fell into my hands. I must say, though the band plays in black-metal genre but the music in very uncommon, it is not a usual black metal with standard set of symphonic inserts usually used by prevalent part of black metal bands. Here all electronic insets make the mood of the album, which can be categorized as an anthem of the nightmare. The music is variable, at one moment it is filled with aggression and it is fast, at another the tempo becomes slower and you enjoy listening to the symphony, the symphony of horror and insanity.
In musical aspect, the usage of violin is worth remarking (notice that it is very unusual for black metal), I need to say that the sound of violin is always appropriate. In the case of keyboards, I need to recur that in contrast to other black metal bands, keyboards are always to the point, and there is no redundancy of electronic sound. What to say about guitar, ordinary sound of guitar peculiar to black metal. The quality of recording and mastering is worth admitting, everything sounds purely and pleasantly, you can hear every musical part. The arrangement of the album is at high level: some symphonic inserts sounds like an old gramophone record , that gives the album additional charm.
In short, the album is good, I think admirers of symphonic tendencies in metal will like this album.
