I was told several times that progressive is too boring alive. Just before IN PROG fest 2004 I got this CD with ALEXANDER KOSTAREV alive. The sound quality is one of the basic issues for live albums and here we hear each instrument distinctly, every complicated pattern. The music is dynamic alright, sometimes the violin takes initiative from the guitar, sax and tabla make the music exquisite and original. The audience is calm at first but then pays considerable credits to talented musicians. The CD might sound clumsy for unprepared listeners but in fact it is of great value both musically and intellectually.
