On June 19, 1989, German thrash metal titans KREATOR released their fourth studio album Extreme Aggression through Noise Records. Produced by Randy Burns and recorded at Music Grinder Studios in Hollywood, the album represents the culmination of KREATOR's classic thrash period — a relentless, precise assault combining the bestial aggression of their early recordings with tighter songwriting and significantly improved production values. Vocalist and guitarist Mille Petrozza delivers some of his most ferocious performances on tracks including the title track, "Some Pain Will Last," and "Betrayer." Extreme Aggression reached number twenty-nine on the German album charts and toured widely across Europe and North America. The record is considered by fans and critics as one of KREATOR's finest achievements and a foundational document of European thrash metal alongside Pleasure to Kill (1986) and Terrible Certainty (1987).
