Presences (promo) Mutation of the Mooded Creatures

When I looked at the cover of this album, a thought that this band is from some northern country. The design of the cover is made in the manner of old black-metal bands; it reminds the appearance of BURZUM and DARKTHRONE albums. And names of songs are also connected with northern epic themes. But as it turned out this group is from hot southern country – Italy.
This release appeared to be rather dull and monotonous; the quality of recording is also bad, frankly saying, the music didn’t make an impression on me. The sound reminds the phonation of Russian RADIGOST. The guitar part is moved to the background, but the part of keyboards you can hear distinctly in the foreground. But the sound of keyboards is not very bad, and if the band try to move the guitar sounding some “closer”, than I think we would get absolutely another effect. I must say that the guitar sound is more peculiar to some so-called “true black-metal” bands that to this sympho-black metal project. And what about drums, well, drum-section is a total disaster, too slow as for black-metal and too monotonous. The vocal part is rather feeble and sometimes is inappropriate.
So the result is: nothing interesting, but I think, that this album will be well appreciated by the lovers of “true” black metal tendencies
