AKERCOCKE is a progressive black/death metal band from London, founded in 1997. Notorious for combining satanic imagery with pinstripe suits and an intellectually rigorous approach to extreme music, they carved a unique niche in the British metal underground. Their music weaves together Satanism, Faustian themes, and sorrow through technically sophisticated, ever-shifting compositions. After a long hiatus they returned to Peaceville Records and have remained one of the UK's most cerebral and uncompromising extreme metal acts.
