ALESTORM is a Scottish folk/power metal band from Perth, founded in 2007. Self-proclaimed "true Scottish pirate metal", they have built a devoted worldwide following through unabashedly fun, rum-soaked anthems about pirates, drinking, and maritime adventure. Signed to Napalm Records, their energetic live shows and genre-blending approach — heavy metal riffs over folk melodies and nautical imagery — have made them one of the most recognizable novelty-meets-serious-metal acts of the modern era. ALESTORM remain one of the most entertaining live acts in contemporary metal.
