ANDRE MATOS was the solo project of the Brazilian heavy/power metal vocalist André Matos, former frontman of ANGRA and SHAMAN. Founded in São Paulo in 2006, the project allowed him to pursue melodic, life-affirming heavy metal outside the confines of his previous bands. His self-titled debut and subsequent releases showcased his celebrated tenor voice and gift for hook-laden songwriting. Matos passed away in 2019, leaving behind a legacy as one of South America's finest metal vocalists.
