ANGRA

ANGRA is a Brazilian progressive power metal band from São Paulo, founded in 1991. Pioneers of the South American power metal scene, they fused the European power metal tradition with classical influences, Brazilian folk elements, and progressive ambition to create a distinctive and globally respected sound. Their debut "Angels Cry" (1993) announced a new force in heavy metal, and subsequent albums — particularly "Temple of Shadows" — are considered genre masterpieces. Currently on Reigning Phoenix Music, ANGRA remain one of the most technically accomplished and musically diverse power metal acts in the world.
