BLOODBATH are a Swedish death metal supergroup from Stockholm, formed in 1998. Originally conceived as a death metal side project by members of OPETH, KATATONIA, and PARADISE LOST, they have grown into one of the most celebrated death metal acts of the modern era. Signed to Napalm Records, their old-school Sunlight Studios-influenced sound channels blasphemy, death, gore, and the supernatural through brutal, hook-laden compositions. BLOODBATH have proven that reverent homage to classic death metal can produce genuinely great music.
