CATHARSIS is a russian gothic/symphonic metal band from moscow, founded in 1993. One of the pioneering acts of russian gothic metal, they blended symphonic grandeur with gothic atmosphere and russian lyrical sensibility across an extensive catalogue. Their longevity on the domestic scene speaks to the depth of their fanbase. CATHARSIS remain active, continuing to perform and record their brand of dark russian metal.
