CEPHALIC CARNAGE are an American technical grindcore and death metal band from Edgewater, Colorado, formed in 1992. One of the most genuinely eclectic acts in extreme metal, they fuse grindcore blast beats with death metal heaviness, jazz-influenced time signatures, and an irreverent lyrical universe spanning cannabis, aliens, social satire, and mental disorders. Signed to Relapse Records, their wildly varied discography showcases a band that refuses to be pinned down. CEPHALIC CARNAGE remain one of extreme metal's most idiosyncratic and entertaining presences.
