DEICIDE are an American death metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 1989. Arguably the most notorious anti-Christian band in metal history, vocalist and bassist Glen Benton's lifelong commitment to Satanism and blasphemy has made DEICIDE a perpetual lightning rod for controversy. Musically, their high-speed death metal — propelled by Steve and Eric Hoffman's dual guitar work and the twin rhythm of brothers Jack and Dave Owen — is technically ferocious. Signed to Reigning Phoenix Music, DEICIDE remain one of Tampa's most enduring and extreme metal institutions.
