DEMONS & WIZARDS were a German-American power metal supergroup formed in Tampa in 1997, combining BLIND GUARDIAN vocalist Hansi Kürsch and ICED EARTH guitarist Jon Schaffer. Their self-titled debut and "Touched by the Crimson King" blended BLIND GUARDIAN's vocal drama with ICED EARTH's heavy riffing to create compelling power metal narratives drawn from literature and dark fantasy. The project dissolved in 2021 following Schaffer's legal troubles, leaving two celebrated albums as their legacy.
