DOWN SYNDROME was a russian death and thrash metal band from Perm, formed in 1993. Despite their provocative name, they played symphonic and melodic death/black metal rather than the grindcore their name might suggest. Active until 2005, they were one of the more unusual and distinctive acts on the Perm underground metal scene.
