GRAVE DIGGER are a German heavy/power metal band from Gladbeck, formed in 1980. One of the oldest and most beloved acts in German heavy metal, they began as a NWOBHM-influenced speed metal act before evolving into purveyors of historical and mythological power metal dealing with horror, war, mythology, and the Dark Ages. Signed to Reaper Entertainment, their long catalogue — especially the Celtic, crusaders, and historical trilogy albums — is celebrated by fans of European power metal worldwide. GRAVE DIGGER remain active and highly respected.
