GRIP INC. was an American groove metal band from San Diego, California, formed in 1993 by SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo. Combining aggressive groove metal riffing with Dave Lombardo's incomparable rhythmic power and vocalist Gus Chambers' brutal delivery, they recorded several strong albums before disbanding in 2006. Their work is fondly remembered as a high point of the mid-1990s groove metal scene.
