HEAVEN AND HELL

HEAVEN AND HELL were an American heavy metal band formed in 2006, bringing together three-quarters of BLACK SABBATH's classic lineup — guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, and drummer Vinny Appice — with vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Originally touring as BLACK SABBATH, they adopted the HEAVEN AND HELL name to distinguish the Dio-era incarnation from the Ozzy-led band. Their sole studio album "The Devil You Know" (2009) was widely acclaimed. The project dissolved following Dio's death in 2010.
