HIERONYMUS BOSCH were a russian progressive death metal band from moscow, active from 1993 to 2010. Named after the Dutch master painter, they brought an unusually philosophical and humanistic perspective to russian death metal, exploring complex questions of philosophy and humanity. During their active years they were respected as one of russia's more intellectually ambitious extreme metal acts. The band dissolved in 2010.
