KYPCK

KYPCK were a Finnish doom metal band from Oulu, active from 2007 to 2024. Uniquely, they performed entirely in russian, channeling russian history, war, pain, and loss through the suffocating weight of doom metal. Their concept — delivering Finnish doom metal in the language of a neighbouring country's tragedy — proved artistically compelling. The band split up in 2024, leaving behind a distinctive and conceptually ambitious body of work.
