LACUNA COIL are an Italian gothic metal band from Milan, formed in 1997. One of the most commercially successful gothic metal bands in the world, their pioneering male/female vocal dual dynamic — with Christina Scabbia's silken voice counterpointed by Andrea Ferro's harder delivery — helped define the sound of 2000s gothic metal. Signed to Century Media, albums like "Comalies" and "Karmacode" brought them global recognition. LACUNA COIL remain active and one of Italy's most internationally renowned metal exports.
