LORDI are a Finnish heavy metal and hard rock band from Tornio, formed in 1992. The world's most famous monster-costumed metal band, their victory at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with "Hard Rock Hallelujah" brought them unprecedented global attention. Fronted by the monstrous Mr. Lordi, their horror and gore-themed anthems are delivered with infectious, crowd-pleasing energy. Signed to Reigning Phoenix Music, LORDI remain one of Finland's most internationally recognizable musical exports.
