MANTAS is a British heavy metal and industrial groove metal band from Essex, formed in 1988. Originally a classic metal act, they evolved significantly over the years, incorporating industrial and groove metal elements into their sound. Led by Whiplash vocalist and founding Venom member Jeff Dunn, Mantas bridges the classic NWOBHM era with modern metal sensibilities.
