METAL CHURCH is an American heavy, power, and thrash metal band from Aberdeen, Washington, formed in 1980. One of the pioneering acts of the American heavy metal scene, their self-titled 1984 debut is considered a classic of the genre. With powerful riffing, memorable melodies, and the distinctive vocals of David Wayne (and later Mike Howe), they influenced a generation of American metal musicians.
