Chicago, 🇺🇸United States Formed in 1981
MINISTRY are an American industrial rock and metal band from Chicago, formed in 1981 by Al Jourgensen. Beginning as a new wave and electropop act, they underwent a radical transformation into one of the most savage and influential industrial metal bands in history. Albums like "The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste" and "Psalm 69" are foundational industrial metal recordings. Signed to Cleopatra Records, Jourgensen's MINISTRY continue to release politically fierce music against fascism and the American right. MINISTRY remain one of industrial metal's most essential acts.
