MOTÖRHEAD

MOTÖRHEAD were a British speed metal and heavy metal band from London, formed in 1975 by bassist and vocalist Lemmy Kilmister. One of the most important and beloved bands in rock history, they pioneered speed metal and proto-thrash through their locomotive rhythms, wall-of-sound production, and Lemmy's whisky-and-amphetamine snarl. Albums like "Overkill", "Bomber", "Ace of Spades", and "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" are sacred texts of rock and metal. Lemmy passed away in December 2015, and MOTÖRHEAD disbanded shortly after.
