NAPALM DEATH are a British hardcore punk and grindcore/death metal band from Birmingham, formed in 1981. Widely regarded as the inventors of grindcore, their debut "Scum" (1987) — featuring the world's shortest album track, the one-second "You Suffer" — is one of extreme music's most notorious and historically significant records. Through decades of relentless activity they have evolved into a sophisticated, politically engaged force for social justice, anti-fascism, and radical politics.
