NIGHTWISH are a Finnish symphonic power metal band from Kitee, formed in 1996. The most commercially successful and internationally famous Finnish metal band in history, their evolution from Tarja Turunen's operatic soprano through Anette Olzon to Floor Jansen has produced a string of landmark symphonic metal albums — "Oceanborn", "Wishmaster", "Once", "Dark Passion Play", "Imaginaerum".
