NOTRE DAME was a Swedish avant-garde and gothic metal band formed in 1997. Known for their eccentric, theatrical presentation mixing horror imagery, camp aesthetics, and unconventional gothic metal with avant-garde sensibility, they were unlike anything else in the Swedish metal underground. They released several albums before disbanding in 2004.
