QNTAL is a German medieval and dark wave band from Munich, formed in 1991. Combining medieval musical instruments and ancient Latin and Middle High German texts with electronic arrangements and ethereal female vocals, they occupy a unique niche between medieval folk, dark wave, and new age. Their extensive discography on Drakkar Records has earned them a dedicated following in the neofolk and dark wave communities.
