RELIKT were a Turkmenistani death/thrash metal band from Ashgabat, formed in 1998. One of the most geographically remarkable extreme metal acts to emerge from Central Asia, they channeled themes of religion, surrealism, and natural catastrophe through aggressive extreme metal during their active period. The band split up, leaving a small but historically fascinating body of work.
