SAMSAS TRAUM are a German gothic metal and neoclassical/darkwave act from Marburg, formed in 1996. Led by vocalist Alexander Kaschte, they have evolved from avant-garde Gothic black metal toward an elaborate neoclassical and dark romantic style exploring love, depression, and fictional narratives. Signed to Trisol Music Group, their theatrical, conceptually ambitious output has earned them a devoted cult following in the German gothic scene. SAMSAS TRAUM remain active.
