SCRATCHING SOIL was a russian black metal band formed in 1996. Combining atmospheric and raw black metal elements, they contributed to the russian black metal underground before disbanding in 2007. Their decade-long career produced recordings that captured the raw spirit of provincial russian black metal in the late 1990s and 2000s.
