SOLEFALD are a Norwegian avant-garde post-black metal band from Oslo, formed in 1995. Among the most intellectually provocative and musically adventurous bands to emerge from Norway, they employ philosophy, Scandinavian mythology, satire, and stream-of-consciousness poetry alongside technically complex, ever-mutating extreme metal. Signed to Indie Recordings, their catalogue is a challenging but richly rewarding body of work. SOLEFALD remain active.
