TYR

TYR is a Faroese progressive and folk metal band from Tórshavn, formed in 1998. Named after the Norse god of war, they weave Faroese and Nordic folklore, Norse mythology, and paganism into a heavy yet melodic metal framework. Signed to Metal Blade Records, their albums have brought Faroese cultural heritage to a global metal audience.
