U.D.O. is a German heavy metal band from Wuppertal, formed in 1987 by vocalist Udo Dirkschneider after his departure from ACCEPT. Continuing in the classic heavy metal vein he made famous with ACCEPT, Dirkschneider delivers powerful anthems built on crunching riffs and his unmistakable sandpaper voice. Signed to Reigning Phoenix Music, U.D.O. have released over a dozen albums and remain one of Germany's most beloved heavy metal institutions.
