Via Doloris is a Norwegian atmospheric black metal solo project from Oslo, conceived and performed in its entirety by multi-instrumentalist Gildas Le Pape — a veteran of the Norwegian underground scene known for his past work as a live member of Satyricon, as well as stints in Morbid Rites and Pest. Signed to Season of Mist, the project debuted in 2026 with the full-length album "Guerre et paix", accompanied by two singles — "For the Glory" and "Un Franc Soleil".
