Unfortunately, we are forced to announce the cancellation of DEICIDE's concerts in russia. Problems with the band began when Glen Benton failed to fly to Europe. However, at the musicians' request, THE FLAMING ARTS and their partners in moscow and st. petersburg decided not to cancel the concerts and to fulfill their obligations despite the absence of the American band's frontman, as THE FLAMING ARTS together with MUSICNESS russia, JC-SOUND and POLYGON are honest and reliable partners who are always willing to accommodate the bands they work with.
Two days before the scheduled appointment at the russian embassy in Warsaw — where an arrangement had been made to issue express visas (within a few hours) for DEICIDE to enter russia — the musicians began inventing various excuses to postpone the concerts. However, THE FLAMING ARTS agency did everything possible to explain that there were no grounds for postponement, and that DEICIDE's concerts in russia were generating enormous interest even in Glen Benton's absence — a point the Americans ultimately conceded.
However, last night it became known that after the final concert of the European tour in Berlin, DEICIDE decided to stay in the German capital and did not travel to the russian embassy to obtain their visas, even though embassy staff had agreed to receive them at any time (for which we extend special thanks) and plane tickets from Warsaw to russia and from russia to the USA had been booked for them.
The concert organizers in russia do not yet understand what prompted such a strange decision by the band and hope to receive a clear answer within the next few days.
In the meantime, we would like to extend our sincerest apologies to all the band's fans in russia who had been eagerly awaiting DEICIDE's arrival. We hope to receive an official statement from the band within the next few days that will explain their behavior regarding the russian concerts.
