SCARTOWN vocalist Joker is eager to dispel rumors about the band's breakup: "Lately, the guys and I have been asked more and more often why we broke up, and frankly, the question baffles us. Yes, we had a minor lineup change over the summer (Mikhail Vinogradov now plays guitar in place of Max Subbotin), and our forum was in limbo for a while due to a hosting switch. But we play at least two shows a month! This autumn, the band performed for the first time in cities like samara, Togliatti, and saint petersburg; we just recently played another show in moscow, and this weekend we're heading to the northern capital again! We continue to consider all offers coming in from local promoters in other cities, and we're preparing to celebrate the band's third anniversary, which will take place early next year at one of moscow's clubs. Right now, our team is putting in every effort to make this show unforgettable for our fans; details can be followed on our website.
Moreover, preparation of material for our second full-length album is in full swing, alongside which we are reviewing offers from record labels. At this point, I can only say that the music will be heavier and more aggressive. We've tried to preserve the band's identity, but be ready for something harder.
If everything goes according to plan, we will enter the studio in spring 2008 to have the album out by autumn. So the rumors of our death are greatly exaggerated."
