SCARTOWN finished working on new material

SCARTOWN have finished writing new material for their second full-length studio album. The musicians are currently recording a ten-song demo at their home studio — tracks that will most likely make it onto the album's final tracklist — and are simultaneously in talks with several Western producers about a potential collaboration.

"Musically, our new songs are definitely angrier and faster compared to everything we've recorded before, yet they haven't lost any of the atmosphere or melodicism that defined our mini-disc 'Vertical Limit,'" say the SCARTOWN musicians. "But in order for these compositions to fully come to life, we need to put in serious work in the studio and find someone who can feel our music and deliver not only the best possible sound, but also ensure quality mixing and mastering. We are currently in talks with one Canadian and two Swedish sound producers who, after familiarizing themselves with our older material, have expressed willingness to work on the new record. Now it all comes down to scheduling and what they can offer us. For our part, we are aiming for the highest result."

A celebration of SCARTOWN's third anniversary is planned for spring at one of moscow's clubs, featuring a special program and guest musicians from other bands. Details can be followed on the official SCARTOWN website, MySpace page (www.myspace.com/scartownband), and VKontakte page.
