Despite weather forecasts promising a brutal winter frost, it will be hot in st. petersburg on January 17, 2009, as the second extreme music festival KOMA Fest is on its way!
The highlight of the first festival, held earlier this year at the Arktika club in st. petersburg, was that the musicians of KOMA were on stage all evening — both performing in the main set and as part of various side projects. The event featured Black Astrology, Dominia, Boni neM, and, of course, KOMA themselves.
For the second festival, the organizers have expanded the geography and scaled up the event. The concert will take place across three halls of the Orlandina club. Participants are selected on a competitive basis, with applications already submitted by bands from moscow, Yaroslavl, Ufa, Pskov, and other cities. Applications are open until December 8, when online voting will begin to determine the festival participants. Only the best will perform!
On the small stage on the first floor, KOMA will play their acoustic set, which fans have not heard in several years. This will also be the perfect spot to relax, chat with friends, and catch other semi-acoustic projects. For those who like it heavier, the medium and large concert halls on the second floor will be in full swing, where on this harsh January evening the headliners will include Boni NEM, Dekabr, KOMA (electric), and other special guests!
A New Year's gift for fans of heavy sound that will snap you out of your winter hibernation and let you enjoy quality music.
