SEPULTURA have announced the North American leg of their "Celebrating Life Through Death" farewell tour, with support from Bay Area thrash legends EXODUS, New York hardcore pioneers BIOHAZARD, and rising extreme metal act TRIBAL GAZE. The run kicks off April 29 in Montclair, New Jersey, and wraps May 29 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, covering approximately 25 cities across the United States and Canada. This marks the final opportunity for North American fans to see the Brazilian thrash and groove metal legends perform live — a moment of enormous significance for a band that helped put South American metal on the global map.
SEPULTURA's farewell tour has been winding through Europe, South America, and Oceania since March 2024, drawing emotional sellout crowds at every stop. The current lineup — vocalist Derrick Green, guitarist Andreas Kisser, bassist Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr., and drummer Greyson Nekrutman — has been delivering marathon sets spanning the band's entire discography, from the raw thrash of "Morbid Visions" and "Beneath the Remains" through the groundbreaking groove of "Chaos A.D." and "Roots" to their later progressive material. The shows have been widely praised as career-defining performances that honour SEPULTURA's 40-year legacy with dignity and power.
The support bill adds tremendous value to an already historic event. EXODUS, led by the incendiary Gary Holt, remain one of thrash metal's most ferocious live acts, while BIOHAZARD bring a hardcore edge that complements SEPULTURA's own crossover tendencies. VIP packages are available now, with general ticket sales starting January 23. Guitarist Kisser has stated that the farewell tour will extend into late 2026, with additional legs in Asia and a final hometown show in Belo Horizonte, Brazil expected to close the chapter definitively.
