Swedish melodic death metal titans ARCH ENEMY have officially unveiled former ONCE HUMAN singer Lauren Hart as their new frontwoman, releasing the blistering single "To The LAST BREATH" alongside the announcement. The move comes three months after the band parted ways with longtime vocalist Alissa White-Gluz in November 2025, ending a decade-long partnership that produced four studio albums and cemented the group's status as one of the genre's biggest live draws.
Guitar virtuoso and founding member Michael Amott praised Hart's "remarkable voice, dedication and professionalism," calling the collaboration exceptional from the very first rehearsal. Hart, who spent years fronting Los Angeles-based melodic death metal outfit ONCE HUMAN, brings a ferocious vocal range that blends guttural aggression with soaring melodic passages — a style that fits ARCH ENEMY's signature sound like a glove. Amott reportedly auditioned several candidates before settling on Hart, who flew to Sweden for intensive writing sessions in early January.
The accompanying single "To The LAST BREATH" arrived with a cinematic music video directed by longtime collaborator Patric Ullaeus, and the response has been overwhelming. The track racked up over 1.3 million YouTube views in its first week alone, with fans praising Hart's commanding stage presence and vocal power. Musically, the song channels the band's classic dual-guitar attack with razor-sharp riffs and a soaring chorus that showcases Hart's versatility.
ARCH ENEMY also announced the "Back To The Root Of All Evil" European club tour, an intimate 15-date run kicking off July 19 in Berlin. The deliberately small-venue approach marks a departure from the arenas the band has been playing, with Amott explaining that the intimate setting will allow fans to experience the new lineup up close. Tickets for many dates sold out within hours of the announcement, underlining the massive anticipation surrounding this new chapter in ARCH ENEMY's three-decade career.
