Progressive metal stalwarts BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME have announced an extensive U.S. tour for May and June 2026. The run will showcase material spanning the band's entire catalog, with particular focus on their most recent releases. A special Blabbermouth presale launched on Wednesday, February 25 at 2:00 p.m. EST, with general on-sale following on Friday, February 27 at 10 a.m. local time.

The North Carolina-based quintet have been one of progressive metal's most boundary-pushing acts since forming in 2000. Over the course of their career, they have released a string of critically acclaimed albums that blur the lines between death metal, progressive rock, jazz fusion, and avant-garde experimentalism. Their 2007 opus "Colors" is widely considered one of the greatest progressive metal albums ever recorded, a sprawling 64-minute journey that cemented their reputation as musical visionaries willing to go wherever their compositions led them.

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME are renowned for their marathon live performances, often playing albums in their entirety without pause. Guitarist Paul Waggoner's technical precision, vocalist Tommy Giles Rogers Jr.'s remarkable ability to shift between guttural growls and soaring clean vocals, and drummer Blake Richardson's jaw-dropping polyrhythmic patterns make their concerts an experience unlike any other in modern metal. The rhythm section is rounded out by bassist Dan Briggs, whose fretless bass work adds a distinctly progressive flavor to the band's sound.

The band continues to operate with a fiercely independent spirit, prioritizing artistic integrity over commercial considerations at every turn. Their loyal fanbase has grown steadily through word of mouth and incendiary live shows rather than mainstream media exposure or algorithmic playlist placement. This upcoming tour promises to deliver the full spectrum of the band's capabilities, from crushing heaviness to passages of breathtaking beauty, performed in intimate club settings that allow for the deeply immersive listening experience their intricate and layered music demands. Support acts for the tour have not yet been announced, but previous BTBAM tours have featured exciting up-and-coming progressive acts.
