BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's upcoming album "Engines of Demolition," due March 27 via eOne Records, will feature a deeply personal track called "Ozzy's Song" — described by Zakk Wylde as the most profound and heartfelt ballad he has ever written in his entire career. The song serves as a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary BLACK SABBATH frontman and Prince of Darkness who gave a teenage Wylde his first major break in 1987 when he hired the unknown nineteen-year-old New Jersey guitarist to replace the departing Jake E. Lee.

Wylde has spoken about "Ozzy's Song" with unusual emotional vulnerability in recent interviews, offering a side of the typically bombastic guitarist that fans rarely see. The track reportedly features delicate acoustic passages interwoven with soaring electric leads, building to a powerful and moving climax that captures the full depth of the bond between mentor and protege. Wylde served as Osbourne's lead guitarist from 1987 to 1992 and again from 1995 to 2006, playing on iconic albums like "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis" that defined a generation of heavy metal, and the two maintained a close and genuine friendship throughout the years.

The 13-song album also marks the welcome return of guitarist Riggs and longtime bassist Blasko, reconstituting a beloved fan-favorite BLACK LABEL SOCIETY lineup. Wylde began writing the record in 2022 during his tenure on the PANTERA Celebration World Tour, where he filled the enormous shoes of the late Dimebag Darrell alongside vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and drummer Charlie Benante of ANTHRAX. He continued refining and recording material through 2025, resulting in what he describes with characteristic enthusiasm as the most musically diverse BLS album to date.

Previously released singles "Broken and Blind," "Lord Humungus," and "The Gallows" have already showcased the album's impressive range — from crushing Southern-fried groove metal to tender acoustic balladry and everything between. BLACK LABEL SOCIETY launched their North American tour on February 27 in San Antonio, with ZAKK SABBATH serving as direct support, giving the tireless Wylde the nightly workload of performing essentially two complete full-length sets.
