CORONER brought their "Dissonance Over The West" tour to San Diego on February 5, the second date on the 15-show run across the American and Canadian West Coast. Following the successful Las Vegas opener, the Swiss technical thrash legends continued delivering the kind of tight, complex performances that have defined their reputation for nearly four decades.

Formed in Zurich in 1985, CORONER emerged alongside the first wave of technical thrash metal, crafting a sound that married the aggression of thrash with progressive complexity and jazz-influenced arrangements. Albums like "Mental Vortex" and "Grin" remain touchstones for anyone interested in the more cerebral side of extreme metal. Their reunion, which began in 2010 after a fifteen-year hiatus, has been one of the most celebrated comebacks in thrash metal history.

The San Diego performance reminded audiences exactly why CORONER remain one of the genre's most underappreciated acts. Ron Royce's intricate guitar work, combined with the rhythm section's precision, delivered material from their latest album "Dissonance Theory" alongside classic cuts that sounded as vital as ever. The technical demands of CORONER's music leave no room for error, and the band delivered with the surgical precision their fans have come to expect.

HEATHEN proved to be an ideal support act, bringing raw Bay Area thrash energy that complemented CORONER's more cerebral approach perfectly. The pairing of Swiss technical mastery with California thrash aggression created a compelling evening for fans of intelligent heavy music.

The tour hits Los Angeles on February 6 and Pomona on February 7, before heading to San Jose on February 9 and Berkeley on February 10. From there, CORONER move through the Pacific Northwest with stops in Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver before wrapping the run in western Canada.
