Swedish rockers EUROPE have announced "The Final Countdown 40th Anniversary Tour" across 12 European countries in September and October 2026, featuring 19 concerts. The trek begins September 30 at SEC Armadillo in Glasgow and wraps up October 26 at Sentrum Scene in Oslo, hitting the U.K., Netherlands, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway along the way -- an itinerary that reflects the enduring pan-European appeal of one of the continent's most successful rock bands.
The show will deliver a career retrospective setlist culminating in the iconic 1986 album "The Final Countdown" played in its entirety. That record sold over 15 million copies worldwide and launched EUROPE into the stratosphere of global rock stardom, with the synth-driven title track becoming one of the most recognizable songs in rock history. Other classic tracks from the album including "Rock The Night," "Carrie," and "Cherokee" have remained arena staples for four decades. The full-album performance promises to be a powerful nostalgia trip for longtime fans.
Special guests on the entire tour will be Canadian rockers THE DAMN TRUTH, whose latest self-titled fourth album was produced by the legendary Bob Rock -- the man behind METALLICA's "Black Album," BON JOVI's "Slippery When Wet," and MOTLEY CRUE's "Dr. Feelgood." Their inclusion adds a fresh, energetic opening act to the nostalgic headliner.
September 2026 will also bring EUROPE's 12th studio album, as yet untitled, recorded at RMV Studios in Stockholm in October 2025 with famed producer Tom Dalgety, renowned for his work with GHOST, OPETH, ROYAL BLOOD, and THE PIXIES. The combination of a new studio record and a celebration of their most iconic album promises to make this one of the most anticipated tour packages of the fall season, appealing to both longtime devotees and newer fans.
