EXODUS Drop Music Video for Epic Title Track "Goliath"

EXODUS have released the music video for the title track of their upcoming twelfth album "Goliath," due March 20 via Napalm Records, and it represents a dramatic departure from the furious speed of lead single "3111." Where that opening salvo was pure thrash velocity, "Goliath" simmers the tempo down into something far more menacing — winding, malevolent guitar leads from Gary Holt and Lee Altus snake through towering drum patterns from Tom Hunting, while Katie Jacoby's ominous violin work adds a cinematic dimension rarely heard in thrash metal.

The video was directed by Jim Louvau, a filmmaker who has become something of an in-house visual collaborator for the band, having shot three separate music videos for the album during an intensive December session. Louvau's visual approach matches the song's brooding atmosphere with dark, stylized imagery that avoids the cliches of typical thrash metal videos in favor of something more artistically ambitious.

Holt, who has been the creative driving force behind EXODUS since their formation in 1979, has been characteristically effusive about the album. "When I listen to it, it makes me wanna cry, it's so good," he told interviewers, a level of emotional investment that speaks to the personal significance this record holds for the band. The album marks the first studio recording with returning vocalist Rob Dukes since 2010's "Exhibit B: The Human Condition," following the departure of Steve "Zetro" Souza in early 2025.

Dukes' return has injected fresh energy into the band's dynamic. His vocal style, more guttural and aggressive than Souza's higher-register approach, opens up different sonic possibilities that Holt has clearly embraced in the songwriting. The "Goliath" title track showcases the more epic, atmospheric side of what promises to be EXODUS's most diverse album to date, balancing crushing heaviness with moments of genuine musical sophistication. Pre-orders are available now through Napalm Records in multiple physical formats.
