Power metal heavyweights KAMELOT have unveiled their massive 2026 touring plans — the "Dark Asylum World Tour" encompassing North American and European headline runs plus the two-night KamFest special event. The announcement confirms KAMELOT's status as one of the genre's most hard-working and globally popular acts, with an itinerary that stretches across months and continents.
The North American leg launches August 28 in Orlando, Florida, with two strong support acts in tow: Austrian symphonic metal outfit VISIONS OF ATLANTIS and Italian power metal rising stars FROZEN CROWN. The run covers 24 headline dates across the United States and Canada, wrapping September 27 in Silver Spring, Maryland. The European dates follow, featuring German rock act EXIT EDEN and Italian melodic metallers TEMPERANCE across 18 venues in some of the continent's most storied metal cities, culminating November 22 in Madrid, Spain.
The crown jewel of the touring cycle is KamFest, KAMELOT's dedicated two-night fan event taking place October 30-31 at the O13 venue in Tilburg, Netherlands. The festival-within-a-tour features an impressive bill of symphonic and gothic metal talent, including XANDRIA, LEAVES' EYES, and BLACKBRIAR among the confirmed performing acts. KamFest has become a beloved tradition within the KAMELOT community, offering intimate fan experiences, meet-and-greets, and setlists that deviate from the standard touring repertoire.
KAMELOT, fronted by Swedish vocalist Tommy Karevik since 2012 and led by founding guitarist Thomas Youngblood, have built one of power metal's most dedicated global fanbases through a catalog of albums that blend cinematic orchestration, progressive complexity, and memorable melodies. Their most recent studio album, "The Awakening" (2023), was released to strong critical and commercial reception, and the "Dark Asylum" branding suggests new creative territory may be on the horizon.
